What is this freshwater pearl bracelet?
A bracelet of natural freshwater cultured pearls finished with a solid 925 sterling silver clasp, handcrafted for everyday elegance. Each pearl is unique, making it a timeless piece to wear or gift.
Are the pearls real and natural?
Yes - these are genuine natural freshwater cultured pearls, not plastic or glass imitations, and the bracelet ships with an authenticity certificate. Because they grow inside living mussels, every pearl differs slightly in shape and lustre, which is the mark of a real pearl.
What does freshwater cultured pearl mean?
Cultured means the pearl grows naturally inside a freshwater mussel after a gentle nudge from a pearl farmer - still a 100% real pearl, just farmed rather than found by chance. Almost all genuine pearls sold today are cultured; the alternative is cheap glass or plastic imitations.
How can I tell real pearls from imitation?
Real pearls have tiny natural surface irregularities, feel slightly gritty against the teeth and cool to the touch, and no two are identical. Imitations look perfectly uniform and glassy. These are genuine freshwater pearls, so expect natural, individual character.
Is the silver genuine, and is it hypoallergenic?
Yes - the clasp and silver components are solid 925 sterling silver, hallmark stamped, not plated. Both sterling silver and pearls are naturally hypoallergenic and gentle on skin. It is handcrafted by our own Kutch artisans and comes with an authenticity certificate, so you know it is genuine.
What size is it, and is it adjustable?
The bracelet is about 7 inches with an extension chain for adjustability, so it fits a range of wrist sizes, and the pearls are around 5 mm. Measure your wrist with a thread and the extension chain handles small differences.
How do I care for my pearl bracelet?
Pearls are soft and need gentle care: put the bracelet on last (after perfume, lotion and makeup) and take it off first. Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth after wearing, keep it away from chemicals, and store it flat in the box provided, separate from harder jewellery.
Can I wear it in water or while showering or swimming?
Best not to - prolonged water, soap, chlorine and chemicals can dull pearls over time, so remove it before bathing, swimming or washing up.
Will the pearls lose their shine over time?
With gentle care, freshwater pearls keep their natural lustre for years. Shine fades only with regular exposure to perfume, sweat, cosmetics or chemicals - wiping after wear and proper storage keeps them glowing.
Is it suitable for everyday wear?
Yes, it is made for everyday elegance, but pearls are more delicate than plain metal jewellery, so treat it gently and avoid knocks, chemicals and water.
Who is it for, and is it a good gift?
It is designed for women and girls and makes a beautiful gift for birthdays, anniversaries or festive occasions. It arrives with an authenticity certificate in a jewellery storage box, ready to present.
Will my bracelet look exactly like the photo?
Very close, but not identical - because the pearls are natural, each varies slightly in shape, size and lustre. These small differences are normal and prove your pearls are genuine rather than mass-produced.
