What is this rudraksha pendant?
This is a natural 6.5mm panchmukhi rudraksha bead set in a solid 925 silver cap, with a hanging OM charm attached, sold as a pendant only. It is the same pendant used in our MPEN55 rudraksha mala, available here on its own for those who want to add it to their own chain or cord.
Does this come with a chain?
No - this is the pendant only, without a chain. You can add it to a silver chain or cord of your own, checking that the pendant's bail loop fits your chain comfortably before threading it through.
What is 5 Mukhi (Panchmukhi) rudraksha?
5 Mukhi means the bead naturally has five faces, and it is the most common and widely worn form of rudraksha, closely linked to Lord Shiva. It is considered suitable for everyone, with no strict restrictions, making it an easy and traditional choice for daily wear.
What does the OM charm add to this pendant?
The OM charm represents the primordial sound of the universe and pairs naturally with rudraksha for those who chant or meditate, adding a meditative symbol alongside the bead's protective and spiritual qualities.
Is the rudraksha genuine and certified?
Yes - it is a natural rudraksha bead, gem-lab certified, not synthetic or moulded. The pendant ships with its certificate so authenticity is confirmed in writing rather than left to guesswork.
Is this Nepali or Indonesian rudraksha?
This is natural Indonesian (Java) 5 Mukhi rudraksha. It is smaller and smoother than the larger, far costlier Nepali variety, but equally genuine - we are upfront about the origin so you know exactly what you are buying at this price.
Is the silver genuine, and why should I trust NJELS for this?
Yes - the cap and OM charm are solid 925 sterling silver, hallmark stamped, not plated alloy. It is handcrafted by our own Kutch artisans, and as a registered silver brand, NJELS uses genuine rudraksha and real silver throughout rather than cheaper substitutes.
What are the benefits of wearing this pendant?
Rudraksha is traditionally worn for calm, focus and spiritual protection, while the OM charm adds a meditative anchor, making this useful both as an everyday wear piece and as a focused tool for jaap or meditation.
How do I care for and clean it?
Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth, and occasionally apply a little coconut or sandalwood oil to the rudraksha bead to keep it healthy and rich in colour. Avoid prolonged water exposure and harsh chemicals, and polish the silver cap and OM charm gently with a silver cloth.
Is this the same pendant as in the MPEN55 mala?
Yes - this is the identical silver-capped rudraksha with OM charm used in our MPEN55 rudraksha mala, sold separately as a standalone pendant for those who want it on their own chain rather than as part of a full mala.
Who is this pendant for?
It is unisex and suits men, women and anyone drawn to rudraksha and Om symbolism for daily wear, meditation, or devotion to Lord Shiva.
Is it a good gift?
Yes - its compact size and meaningful symbolism make it an easy gift for meditators or spiritual practitioners, and it arrives with a gem-lab certificate and a jewellery storage box, ready to present.
