A nazariya is a traditional black-bead bracelet worn to protect a child from nazar (the evil eye). This one is solid 925 sterling silver strung with black beads, made for babies to wear on the wrist - a time-honoured Indian custom to keep negativity away from your little one.
How do the black beads protect from nazar?
In Indian tradition, black beads are believed to absorb and deflect nazar - the unintentional harm from envious or admiring looks. Babies are thought to attract the most attention, so parents put a nazariya on them as a gentle protective charm worn daily.
What age does it fit, and is it for a boy or a girl?
It fits newborns up to about 3 years and is completely unisex - equally suited to baby boys and girls. The adjustable design grows with your child through the early years.
